Directions by Bus
From the City of Guatemala:
Take a bus to Esquipulas with the company Rutas Orientales (Q. 40, 4 hours). From there, you need to take a taxi to Agua Caliente (Q. 10, 10minutes) where you can cross the border. On the other side of the border, busses leave for Nuevo Ocotopeque (15 Lempiras, 30 minutes). Arriving in Nuevo Ocotopeque you can find a bus for Santa Rosa de Copan (20 Lempiras, 2 hours 15 minutes), from there, take a bus to Gracias ( the leave every hour, 24 Lempiras). There is a bus that leaves from Gracias to La Esperanza but it only leaves once a day at 5 in the morning. So if you arive after this time, ask where to find the exit to La Esperanza. Take a bus to San Juan (20 Lempiras, 1 hour), and from there you can find a ride to La Esperanza (15 Lempiras, an hour and a half)

Another route that is a little longer but safer.

Agua Caliente to San Pedro Sula (60 Lempiras, 5 hours)

From Agua Caliente, take a bus directly to San Pedro Sula with the company Sultana, Toritos & Copanecos. The same companies also have bussess that leave Nuevo Ocotopeque (30 minutes from Agua Caliente) at midnight for San PEdro Sula non-stop (90 Lempiras). Arriving in San Pedro Sula, take a bus to La Esperanza (see from San Pedro Sula above) (3 and a half hours).

· Arts and crafts, textiles, materials, exposistions of experiences of your community to show and share (Tipical foods, or as sample of popular or indigenous art), books, brochures, banners for the marches.

· Sleeping bag, sheet or blanket / Hamock or sleeping pad
· Clothing and rain weather attire - it will be the rainy season
· Toiletries
· Your plates, cups and utensils to facilitate meals.
